Continuation...

We have successfully conducted various activities throughout India on advanced clinical nutrition and few interested people, who are really into this advanced clinical nutrition and who wish to help us have joined our team.

In order to promote lifelong learning in basic and advanced clinical nutrition and to facilitate the academic pursuits of more number of clinical nutritionists, doctors, dieticians from the educational Institution, hospitals and health care settings, The Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism” would like to announce in this press conference that the "IAPEN Certified Nutrition Support Clinician" Examination Applications are Open throughout India.

The examination is conducted throughout the year. Centre’s are available thought-out India, from Jammu to Madurai, Ahemdabad to Gawhathi. Online exam is present, offline is present, SMS examination and IVR system/USSD is also present.

IAPEN strongly believe that every Nutrition Support Clinical i.e. Doctors, Expert Clinical Nutritionists should participate in Lifelong
Learning. This examination will promote everyone to participate in lifelong learning.

India requires approximately 1 lakh expert "Nutrition Support Clinicians" based on the total number of hospital beds data, released by Central Bureau of Health Intelligence (CBHI), Government of India. (13 Lakhs hospital beds government hospitals and >20 Lakhs in private hospitals).

We are conducting a National Conference on Community Health and Nutrition on International Women's Day, 8th March 2015 at Pushpa Gujral Science City, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Punjab, India. The response from local people is very less and help and support from press in required for promoting this information in Jalandhar and Punjab.

India is not present in metropolitian cities and it is present in small towns and villages. Most of the Indian villages are located in and around small towns, if we can educate "Nutrition Support Clinicians" present in small towns, the standard of the Entire Healthcare Industry in India, will increase.

Presently, we have full support from foreign countries in terms of literature but we don’t have enough funds for visiting abroad frequently to learn new concepts. Collaborations of IAPEN includes, ESPEN, European Union,  BAPEN, United Kingdom, NESPEN, Netherlands, KEPAN, Korea etc...

Our aims and strategies are simple and clear. Our ultimate aim is to fight against malnutrition at all levels.
